Dry Chemical Powder
Dry Chemical Powder
Dry chemical extinguishers put out fire by coating the fuel with a thin layer of dust, separating the fuel from the oxygen in the air. The powder also works to interrupt the chemical reaction of fire, so these extinguishers are extremely effective at putting out fire.
These extinguishers can be used in a variety of locations. New buildings will have them located in public hallways. They may also be found in laboratories, mechanical rooms, break rooms, chemical storage areas, offices, university vehicles, etc.
Water Based
Water Based
When a fire breaks out, there are bigger dangers than the ones you can see. The rising temperature of fuel around the fire and paper and cloth fires are the best examples. Water is the only extinguishing agent that can instantly bring down the temperature of the fire and the area around it.
Ranith Engineer’s Water extinguishers use the proprietary stored pressure technology, delivering high power throw of water. This makes them more effective on the fire and allows the fire fighter to stay a safe distance from the flames.
Ranith Engineer’s Fire water fire extinguishers are supplied new and filled and complete with bracket and can quickly and easily be wall mounted or placed on a floor stand .
Foam Based
Foam Based
Ranith Engineer’s foam fire extinguishers (and some water extinguishers with additives) contain a range of substances which are gradually being discontinued by law. This could mean that Ranith Engineer’s foam extinguishers purchased today would have to be replaced within the next few years, possibly before the end of their useful lifespan. Safelincs, after careful consideration, has therefore retired the majority of their range of Ranith Engineer’s foam extinguishers and is offering suitable.
To help support customers, all discontinued models shown below present a link to a suitable replacement. Most Ranith Engineer’s foam extinguishers in the past were installed in offices, public buildings, and homes. Our range of Class A rated water mist extinguishers are the perfect replacement for these locations. For small Class B risks, e.g. indoor storage of solvents, please select from our range of Class A and B-rated water mist extinguishers. All of our replacement models are suitable and certified for use on live electricity of up to 1000 Volts (at 1m safety distance). For large Class B risks, such as petrol tanks etc, please choose from our powder extinguisher range.
